I had fun studying Genesis 38 for my Biblical Hermeneutics class. I don’t think my paper actually communicates everything I learned and found fascinating, but it’s ok as a short version.

Thanks to my Biblical Hermeneutics assignment on Old Testament Narrative, I not only believe that Genesis 38 is the most intuitively and artfully placed narrative within the Pentateuch, I am now convinced that is THE apex of the Old Testament.  All of Genesis 1-37 point to this climax of a narrative, and the rest of the Bible lies in its wake.

I hope my professors are happy.
